My first attempt at product design, I chose to target a travel pet peeve I have. A problem I had been facing while traveling would be with wires. Despite all my efforts, I would end up with tangled wires. To tackle this, I came up with a product that allowed me to conveniently store my wires without having them tangle at any point in time. The idea behind the product is to have a thin circular base around which I can wrap my wire. To control the free ends, I made slits on the top and bottom panel. On one of the panels, there would be a single slit for one end of the wire. On the other panel, there would be multiple slits in which the other end could be put, depending on the position it would be in after the wire was securely wrapped. This is a universal product, and works just as well with an Apple Lightning cable as any USB-C cable as well. While this remains a prototype, I will be experimenting further on the same to further refine the model and create as flawless a product as I can.
